AICA Incentive Prize for Art Critics
About this opportunity
The AICA Incentive Prize for Art Critics is an annual essay competition run by the International Association of Art Critics alongside its Congress. Entrants submit one 2,000-3,000 word essay with bibliography in English, French or Spanish. The prize aims to encourage young and emerging critics to engage with topics and regions not routinely covered in the media, to encourage new forms of critical expression, and to promote the international circulation of new ideas and writing.
Application tips
Essays need not follow the Congress theme, but engaging with under-covered topics and regions is the prize's stated aim. Submit a single Word document by email (no PDF or Google Docs), with a short biography including your nationality, workplace and contact details. Watch aicainternational.news from late spring.
