About this opportunity

La Cinef is the Official Selection section of the Festival de Cannes dedicated to films from film schools, presenting student fiction and animation work that reveals new talent. An international jury of at least four people awards three prizes of EUR 15,000, EUR 11,000 and EUR 7,500. It is part of the Festival's Cinéma de Demain strand, which also runs the Résidence for emerging filmmakers.

Application tips

There is no registration fee. Fill in the entry form and upload the film on the Festival's My Account portal before the deadline; the portal closes automatically at midnight French time. Check your film has not screened at a major international festival, as that makes it ineligible.
