Film Independent presents three $25,000 grants each year at the Spirit Awards ceremony, recognising exceptional rising film talent: the Someone to Watch Award for emerging narrative directors, the Truer Than Fiction Award for emerging documentary directors, and the Producers Award for outstanding independent producers.
