About this opportunity

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grants programme provides rapid financial support to artists presenting experimental work in exhibitions, performances, screenings, and installations. Applications are reviewed monthly by a multidisciplinary panel of artists. Since its founding by Jasper Johns and John Cage in 1963, the foundation has been a vital lifeline for artists working outside commercial structures.

Application tips

Apply eight to ten weeks before your project's public presentation date. Applications received fewer than six weeks in advance may not be reviewed in time. You must have a confirmed venue and specific dates at the time of application. Submit through the free Submittable portal.
