The Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grants programme provides rapid financial support to artists presenting experimental work in exhibitions, performances, screenings, and installations. Applications are reviewed monthly by a multidisciplinary panel of artists. Since its founding by Jasper Johns and John Cage in 1963, the foundation has been a vital lifeline for artists working outside commercial structures.
