About this opportunity

Hambidge Center is a 600-acre creative sanctuary in the mountains of North Georgia, USA, offering multidisciplinary artist residencies ranging from two to eight weeks. Residents receive a private studio with work and living space, bathroom, and full kitchen. Communal vegetarian dinners are hosted Tuesday to Friday for groups of eight to ten residents, creating a collegial atmosphere. The residency fee is USD $300 per week (subsidised from the actual cost of $2,250 per week). Distinguished Fellowships are awarded on merit and cover fees entirely plus provide a $700 stipend. Financial aid scholarships are available to approximately 35% of applicants who request assistance. Three application cycles run annually: Spring (February to May), Summer (June to August), and Fall (September to December).

Application tips

The September 15 deadline covers the Spring 2027 session (mid-February to May). For Summer 2027 sessions, the deadline is January 15, 2027. Apply via Submittable.
