The Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht is a prestigious post-academic institute offering an eleven-month multidisciplinary residency. Approximately 36 participants each year benefit from generous studio space, professional workshops in printing, ceramics, and photography, and a rigorous programme of seminars, studio visits, and peer dialogue.
Application tips
The application fee is EUR 65 excluding VAT (EUR 78.65 including VAT), waived for applicants from countries on the OECD DAC list. Applicants submit an artist statement (250 words), motivation letter (500 words), project proposal (500 words), plus a PDF portfolio of up to 25 pages of work from the last five years. Selection results are communicated in May. The 2027 residency runs 15 January to 15 December 2027.
