About this opportunity
The Filmmaker Assistance Programme (FAP) is the National Film Board of Canada's long-running post-production support scheme for independent Canadian filmmakers. It operates two streams: a local reimbursement stream for productions across the country, and a Balmoral stream providing in-house services at the NFB's Montreal studios. Three application terms run each year (March, June, October).
Application tips
For the local stream, music, animation, motion graphics and VFX, offline editing, software and music or archival licences are not covered. Applications must include finalised production and post-production schedules and evidence of secured financing. Contact [email protected] with questions.
