About this opportunity
The Paris Photo-Aperture PhotoBook Awards recognise the best photography books of the year across three categories: First PhotoBook ($10,000 for debut published books), PhotoBook of the Year (best overall, minimum edition of 100 copies), and Photography Catalog of the Year (exhibition catalogues where the main content is photography). Winners are exhibited at the Grand Palais during Paris Photo and announced on 13 November 2026. Shortlisted titles gain significant international visibility.
Application tips
Entry fees apply, with a cheaper early-bird period (in 2026 the early-bird rate ended on 10 July and the call closed on 4 September). The First PhotoBook category is specifically for debut books, making it a meaningful entry point for emerging photographers. Books are submitted physically and late arrivals are not accepted. Books must be published (not just printed) within the eligibility window.

The Bennett Prize awards $75,000 to a woman artist to create and tour a solo exhibition of figurative realist paintings. Hosted by the Muskegon Museum of Art and created in 2018, the prize aims to advance women painters in figurative realism who have not yet achieved full professional recognition. Round 5 closed on 19 September 2026, with the winning exhibition travelling to multiple venues across the country.
