About this opportunity

The Paris Photo-Aperture PhotoBook Awards recognise the best photography books of the year across three categories: First PhotoBook ($10,000 for debut published books), PhotoBook of the Year (best overall, minimum edition of 100 copies), and Photography Catalog of the Year (exhibition catalogues where the main content is photography). Winners are exhibited at the Grand Palais during Paris Photo and announced on 13 November 2026. Shortlisted titles gain significant international visibility.

Application tips

Entry fees apply (early bird until 10 July 2026: First PhotoBook $15, other categories $40 first entry/$15 additional; regular rate from 11 July: $30/$60/$30). The First PhotoBook category is specifically for debut books, making it a meaningful entry point for emerging photographers. Submit physically -- no exceptions for late arrivals. Books must be published (not just printed) within the eligibility window.
