About this opportunity

The Photographers' Gallery invites applications for 'Cite the Past, Sight the Stars', a two-month residency at Wigwell Lodge in Derbyshire, approximately one mile from Wirksworth in the Peak District. The programme supports artists researching and expanding their thinking around photography, technology, and innovative approaches to image making and visual culture. The residency runs from 2 February to 31 March 2027. Residents receive a monthly stipend of £1,000 (£2,000 total), a £1,000 production budget, up to £500 travel allowance, two months of accommodation and studio space, curatorial support from The Photographers' Gallery, public promotion throughout the residency, and a public presentation opportunity. A potential commission for 2027/2028 may follow from the residency.
