About this opportunity
The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) offers Cycle 4 of its residency programme, covering the period from June 2027 to December 2028. International applicants may apply for residencies of one to three months; Singapore-based applicants may apply for up to six months. Three thematic strands guide the programme: Listening and Attuning, Making and Material Cultures, and Beyond Human and Interdependence. Applications are welcome from artists, curators, educators, researchers, and creative practitioners working across all disciplines and mediums.

Your application requires a CV, portfolio, a 500-to-1,000-word statement of interest, and a recommendation letter. Clearly articulate how your practice aligns with one of the three thematic strands.

The Art House

The programme provides studio space with print, ceramics, and darkroom facilities (with technician support), on-site accommodation, a living stipend, and a funded visit to London during Gallery Week, specifically targeting artists who have not yet had the opportunity to work or exhibit in the UK.
Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts
The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, offers one of the most generous artist residency programmes in the United States. Residents receive a private live-work studio (820-2,200 sq ft) with kitchen, bathroom, utilities, and WiFi, a monthly stipend, and 24-hour access to 14,050 sq ft of project and installation space, a 9,000 sq ft Okada Sculpture and Ceramics Facility, a sound studio, and a research library of over 3,000 art books.
