Since 1666, the French Academy in Rome at the Villa Medici has hosted artists, creators, and researchers in residency. Located in a historic Renaissance villa on the Pincian Hill overlooking Rome, the residency provides studios, apartments, and stipends to artists and scholars for 6 to 12 months of intensive creative work.
