About this opportunity
The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, set in the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, offers some of the most immersive visual arts residencies in North America. Programmes run throughout the year, providing studio space, faculty lectures, workshops, peer dialogue, and access to outstanding facilities including printmaking, ceramics, and digital media labs.
Application tips
Several visual arts residency strands run each year with separate deadlines. Currently open: Sounding Like a Mountain (17 May to 18 June 2027, deadline 18 November 2026) and Embodied Making: Performance Art, Images and Objects (5 July to 6 August 2027, deadline 17 February 2027). Budget for the participant cost after scholarship.
