About this opportunity

Studios at MASS MoCA offers residencies on the campus of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, one of the largest centres for contemporary art in the United States. Since 2015, the programme has hosted over 1,000 artists and writers at all career stages. Residents work in private studio spaces with 24-hour access and engage with an international cohort of up to 10 peers at a time.

Application tips

Applications are currently closed as of February 2026. Join the Studios at MASS MoCA mailing list to be notified when future application rounds open. The general application route (typically May and November deadlines) offers the best chance at financial aid and fellowships. Early and alumni applications (typically February and August) do not include fellowship consideration.
