About this opportunity

DCampus Workshops (formerly Documentary Campus Masterschool) is a 10-month incubator for Europe's documentary and factual media professionals, combining intensive training, international mentoring, and direct market access. The 2027 programme features five in-person workshops (Copenhagen in March, Munich in May including an open workshop at DOK.fest Munich, and Halle in October) and five online webinars, alongside a dedicated mentor. Formats include TV series, one-offs, digital-first, short-form and social video, multiplatform and VR/XR, with online and social video a strong focus for 2027. The programme culminates in a pitch to commissioners and funders at the SILBERSALZ Science and Media Festival in Halle (Saale), Germany.

Application tips

Apply via FilmFreeway with all materials in English and in PDF: a two-page outline, access evidence, budget top sheet and finance plan (or business plan for social channels), a teaser of up to 3 minutes, a self-presentation video of up to 4 minutes, a showreel and a recommendation letter. Incomplete applications are not considered. Participants pay their own travel, lodging and subsistence at the compulsory workshops, though scholarships are available.
