The programme culminates in full participation at the Durban FilmMart, providing a launchpad for early-career filmmakers to connect with the continent's growing film industry ecosystem.

IDFAcademy is an intensive training programme for emerging documentary filmmakers and producers held each November during IDFA, the world's largest documentary film festival. Each cohort receives substantial grants, intensive mentorship from leading documentary professionals, and a sustained support structure that is rare in the independent film landscape. The programme has nurtured some of the most important new voices in American non-fiction storytelling.

FEFF Campus offers young film enthusiasts and emerging professionals hands-on experience in festival operations, film criticism, and cinema studies during the Far East Film Festival in Udine. Ten participants (5 from Europe and 5 from Asia) are selected for a programme of seminars, interviews, and workshops.
