About this opportunity
The Mondriaan Fund is the Dutch public fund for visual arts and cultural heritage. Its Artist Start grant supports early-career visual artists working professionally for one to four years, offering EUR 24,900 for a 12-month period to fund work, research, materials, commissions, exhibitions or presentations. Applications are open year-round with decisions made within roughly three months of submission.
Application tips
Prepare a clear work plan showing how the funds will be used over the twelve months, and a compact visual portfolio (up to 20 pages). Applications are reviewed continuously, so submit when your plan is fully worked out rather than rushing to any imagined deadline.
