The Women in Film Fellowship is a year-long programme supporting women and non-binary filmmakers through mentorship, industry events, and professional development across multiple career tracks including writers (Episodic Lab and Writer Fellowship), directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, artisan and crew roles, business professionals, and scholars/curators. The fellowship fosters a community of practice among emerging and mid-career talent working across all areas of the film industry.
Application tips
Applicants must be local to Los Angeles and able to articulate a clear career focus. In the last cycle applications opened in October with a January deadline, and the Episodic Lab closed earlier (November), so check the Episodic Lab date first if you write for TV. WIF values filmmakers who will contribute to the broader community.
