About this opportunity
The Wassaic Project is an arts organisation in Wassaic, New York, hosting more than 100 artists-in-residence each year. Summer residents work in 200-300 sq ft semi-private studios in Luther Barn and winter residents in approx. 100 sq ft studios in Maxon Mills, with 24-hour studio access and a private bedroom in shared housing. One open call covers the whole year's summer and winter sessions, and an Exhibitions Fellowship offers a no-fee residency to artists making site-specific work for the Summer Exhibition.
Application tips
One open call covers all of a year's sessions; you choose your preferred sessions when applying through SlideRoom. Applications need contact details, 1-10 work samples, a CV (3 pages max), 2 references, a 200-word proposal and an answer on how you define success in your work. The US$25 application fee can be waived for financial hardship, and review is need-blind, so the sliding-scale fee should not put you off applying.
